Pre-Registration
Periods and Sequencing
Each semester there is a range of dates during which currently enrolled
students pre-register for their next semester classes. In general, the
month of April is the pre-registration period for the Summer and following
Fall Term. In general, the month of November is the pre-registration period
for the Spring Term. Students may pre-register based on their classification.
Seniors and postbaccalaureate students have the first opportunity to pre-register.
Thereafter, juniors, sophomores and freshmen can pre-register with approximately
one-week intervals between classifications. The specific pre-registration
beginning dates are listed on the first page of that term's Schedule
of Classes.
Before registering for classes, all undergraduates are required to meet
and collaborate on their proposed schedules with their academic advisors
prior to pre-registration. Please review the sections on [Working
with Your Advisor], [Types of Courses Offered
at EKU], and [CARES Report] prior to meeting
your advisor.
Once you and your advisor are in agreement on your course selections
your advisor will provide you with a Registration Access Code (RAC). This
allows you to register via the web-based EKUDirect
student data system.
TIP: It
is best to pre-register as early as you can in order to ensure the widest
availability of course times and days.
TIP: Students
new to EKU may pre-register for classes during one-day orientation sessions
offered by the University. These dates begin shortly after continuing
students have had an opportunity to register.
