Athletics Mentoring Program - Fall
Semester Only
For MENTOR
applications only
The goal of this program is to:
- Help retain student athletes entering college. Many of these
student-athletes are in their first year or are first general
students.
- Match faculty/staff and upper classmen to serve as mentors to
our incoming freshman. The mentors will spend time with the students
throughout the semester and will have the opportunity to attend
seminars and workshops that will be very beneficial to the athletes.
- Meet for at least an hour each week. During this time they can
discuss college life, classes, study/test taking tips, share advice,
eat dinner together, or discuss any other issues. This will give
the freshman the opportunity to meet and talk to someone else
outside of his or her team.

students with EKU faculty and staff who are willing to share their
time with a student who is very far away from home. This is a wonderful
opportunity for you and your family to get to know someone from
a different culture while they get to know ours! Of course, the
student will have to adjust to and learn so many new things, who
better to teach them than you?!
