Athletics Mentoring Program - Fall Semester Only

The goal of this program is to:

  • Help retain student athletes entering college. Many of these student-athletes are in their first year or are first general students.
  • Match faculty/staff and upper classmen to serve as mentors to our incoming freshman. The mentors will spend time with the students throughout the semester and will have the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops that will be very beneficial to the athletes.
  • Meet for at least an hour each week. During this time they can discuss college life, classes, study/test taking tips, share advice, eat dinner together, or discuss any other issues. This will give the freshman the opportunity to meet and talk to someone else outside of his or her team.
