CARES Report: Your
Academic Road Map
EKU's degree audit system is known as the CARES Report (CARES stands
for Colonel's Advising & Registration Equals
Success). This report shows where you've been, where you are and
where you need to go in terms of course work.
Various CARES Report options serve the following purposes:
Shows the distribution of course requirements (both completed
and unfulfilled) for your current major;
"WHAT IF" CARES simulates how requirements will re-distribute
if you choose a different major;
Lists the contact information for your assigned academic advisor
(all report options);
If you will attend another college over the summer, find course
equivalents to EKU courses by using the Summer
School Course Transfer (SSCT) option.
When you change your major, your CARES changes to show how your classes
distribute based on the requirements of your new major. Not only that,
but you can create a "What If" CARES to simulate your course
re-distribution if you were to change your major. Your CARES also tells
you who your academic advisor is and how to reach that person.
NOTE:
CARES are only available for currently admitted students. Students, new
to EKU, get their first CARES Report when they attend orientation sessions.
Transfer students who are unable to attend orientation sessions will receive
instructions from the Transfer Coordinator once all admissions and transfer
course work has been processed.
