Eastern Kentucky University has approved a new early registration policy for designated populations effective for the Spring 2010 semester.   This new policy was initially proposed through SGA and other campus entities.

The first categories of students approved for early registration are Seniors with 102 hours earned at the time of registration and graduate students.  These students will be able to register beginning November 2.   Twenty-four hours later on November 3, the “designated populations” listed below will be able to register for classes:

  1. Selected students with specific disabilities
  2. Honors Program
  3. Specified Spirit Groups – (Marching Band, Pep Band, Cheerleaders, Dance Team)
  4. Student Athletes

Registration for all other students will begin November 4 based on the timetable below:

October 26, 2009  

Course Schedule Advising officially begins

November 2, 2009  

Graduates, Post Baccalaureates, Seniors with 102 earned hours may register (in-progress hours will not count toward the 102 hours)

November 3, 2009

Graduates, Post Baccalaureates, Seniors with 102 earned hours, Designated Populations may register

November 4, 2009

Graduates, Post Baccalaureates, all Seniors (including rising seniors), Designated Populations may register

November 10, 2009 

Graduates, Post Baccalaureates, all Seniors, Designated Populations, Juniors (including rising juniors) may register

November 12, 2009 

Graduates, Post Baccalaureates, Seniors, Designated Populations, Juniors, Sophomores (including rising Sophomores) may register

November 17, 2009 

All Continuing Freshmen

November 19, 2009 

All Visiting Students, and Non-Degree Undergraduate, and High School Special students may register

November 24, 2009 

Course Schedule Advising officially ends for enrolled students. Advising resumes on January 5, 2010.
