Every EKU undergraduate student is assigned an academic advisor. Students who have declared a major are assigned to a faculty advisor within that department. Students who have not decided on a major are assigned to a professional or undeclared faculty advisor who works specifically with undeclared students.

Academic advisors play an important role in the educational progress of their advisees by monitoring their progress, as well as helping them to clarify their educational goals.
